The Importance of Keyword Marketing for Newbies, part 1 of 2
For those who have been in the search industry, it has become easy to forget the newbies of today. That is, until they start hitting a certain type of keyword that dictates that their business is booming. It can be tough to keep up with what keywords are trending and which ones aren't so it's important for those on the newer side of the market to understand how keyword marketing works and why it is important. Of course much like anything else in life there's good and bad sides but overall we believe this tactic is going to make things easier for everyone involved.
This first article will cover what exactly keyword marketing entails but more importantly, how these trends can help you make your business grow faster with less investments. Almost every article I read about keyword marketing will say the same thing: "When you become a powerhouse in your niche one day, don't ever forget that you got to the point where you have to focus on keyword marketing". What does that mean exactly? Let's take a look.
Over the past few months, we've been seeing more and more newbies coming onto the market and it has become harder and harder for us SEOs to keep track of what keywords are working and which ones aren't. It's one thing to watch what your competitor is doing, it's another to know why they're doing it so well without even really knowing what you're up against.
So in order to help us out, we've created a spreadsheet of all the keywords that are trending. These keywords are very easy to understand and easier for us to understand our areas of strength and weak points. You can download the spreadsheet HERE so keep an eye out for that as we continue on with this article.
And then finally, I'd like to point out which keywords have been trending over the past few months and what they are really about. Just remember that keyword trends can change quickly (similar things happened with "Facebook" last week) so it's important for you to be able to make your own educated estimates on whether or not a certain keyword is really catching on or is just a passing phase. (And remember, some keywords might have more than one definition in their meaning. When we talk about "email marketing" it could refer to newsletters, autoresponders, emailing people for lead generation or any other number of things.) And finally, if you find a keyword that's not listed here and it seems like a big deal to you, go ahead and add it to the sheet as well.
Hopefully this helps you all get started with keyword marketing but also that you can see whether or not what they're telling you is truly working. It's really easy to forget about the newbies and they're the ones who are going to make or break you in terms of your growth. I'd love to hear if anyone has any questions about this so please go ahead and leave a comment down below!

As I remember, I'm not sure why it is that I was unsure of using keyword marketing when it turned me from a beginner into a pro. The reason being, it is difficult to know which keywords will work for you or not. To be honest, even now, as a seasoned expert, I am still unsure of which keywords should work and which should be avoided.
Conclusion
I hope that you have enjoyed this article today, and feel free to ask questions or leave feedback in the comments as I will be happy to respond.
