The Newbie's Guide To Profiting Online Part 4
You have landed at the end of what is a very long and detailed series. If you've been reading diligently, then I'm sure you know the importance of an online marketing strategy and that it's possible to turn any blog or website into a money making machine. But there are many tips as well as pitfalls that come with this journey. Hopefully, with our Newbie's Guide Series, you will be able to avoid these common mistakes so that profit can follow your passion for writing online!
"What?" somebody might say. "It's not like I'm going to quit my day-job and become a full-time writer. I just want to make a few bucks here and there to pay my bills."
Yes, you can still make money by doing what you love, but it takes work. First, you need to learn your lesson when it comes to giving away your content for free. If it's not worth anything to you or if you're not getting paid enough for your hard work, then don't do it. There will always be people who want something for nothing so there is a certain amount of luck involved that we have yet to come across in our journey.
However, in this business there is always room to grow. This is not a "get rich quick" scheme. If you want to truly make a living as a writer, you need to show that you are committed. You can't just roll over and start giving your content away for free again because once the Internet has seen what you've got, they will only want more of it. They will know how much work you put in and they will expect more of the same for their money!
If this sounds like something that interests you, then be prepared for months of hard work and dedication. If you're really ready for this, then let's get started!
One thing to remember is that even if you aren't interested in making money or selling products online, your work will still be up for grabs. It is very similar to the gaming world where people are stealing your hard work and making a profit off of it. They are just starting out and they need the traffic as much as you do so they have to do something in order to get it. You may be caught up inside the content that you publish because you believe that nobody can understand what it means to you, but strangers don't care about any of this. They just care about their money so they will take it from whatever source that they can find including yours.
The trick is finding out how to make a living off of your own work. It's not easy and it doesn't come easy but if you put your mind to it, you can do it!
"Your job is too hard!" somebody else might say. "I work 40 hours a week and I'm barely making ends meet." "I'm tired of the 9-5 grind." "I just want to write for fun so my life's stress can be reduced."
You will have to realize that lifestyle changes are necessary in order for you to succeed. You need to change the way that your brain works in order for this business to work for you.
Conclusion
If this is something that interests you then I would be glad to help you on your journey. It has only just begun and there's so much more to come and I'm excited for each new discovery that we have!
